It can also include items returned to stores, unwanted or ill-fitting gifts, or items from a closet clean-out. These items must have no flaws, smells, or lingering odors, and have never been worn for actual use.

Why NWOT matters in reselling

On reselling websites like Poshmark, Depop, and eBay, properly labeling an item as NWOT can make a meaningful difference. It can affect sell-through rates, pricing, and buyer trust.
