Product Description

Vintage Scott Scientific Gemstones of the World specimen card. Six of the original twelve minerals remain attached: Jasper (California), Sodalite (S.W. Africa), Ruby Cullet (Ohio), Petrified Wood (Arizona), Jade (Wyoming), and Howlite (California). The card prints each specimen's name and geographic origin. The Howlite is dyed bright blue. Jasper is reddish-brown and tumbled. Sodalite is dark blue and tumbled. Ruby Cullet is translucent red. Petrified Wood is brown and tan. Jade is dark green. Six specimens are missing: Tiger Eye, Aventurine, Peridot, Lace Agate, Moss Agate, and Snowflake Obsidian. Tape residue and surface paper loss at those six positions. Cardstock has general yellowing and age wear. The world map and title text are intact and legible. Sold as a partial set. Good display piece or parts for a collection.
