Couroc of Monterey black serving tray with an inlaid goldfish motif and green eye detail. Measures 18x12.5 inches. Pre-owned with light surface scratches. La Jolla Rattan label present. This early Couroc tray features a wonderful undersea design with a gold outlined fancy fish, sparkling abalone shell inlay, coral accents, and a bright green rhinestone-style eye. The black resin background gives the whole piece a dramatic mid-century look, while the hand-set shell and coral details add that classic Couroc shimmer. Made by Couroc of Monterey, California, this medium rectangular tray works beautifully as barware, a coffee table tray, or wall display for a coastal modern space. The fish and coral motif is especially nice for collectors of Couroc’s sea life designs. Surface scratches, scuffs, and age wear are visible throughout, especially in the black resin field.
