Product Description

Rare Complete Collection of 4 Original 1926 Indianapolis 500 RPPC Real Photo Postcards — Housed in Two Matching Dual-Aperture Frames Up for auction or purchase is an investment-grade piece of early American open-wheel racing history! This listing is for a complete, sequential set of four original 1926 Real Photo Postcards (RPPCs) , captured and developed on-site at the 14th Annual 500-Mile International Sweepstakes by the speedway's legendary official photographers, F.M. Kirkpatrick Studios . These four highly coveted cards are elegantly split across two matching, custom-matted double-aperture black frames (two postcards per frame), making a spectacular ready-to-hang gallery set for a high-end garage, executive office, or racing collection. All four postcards feature phenomenal photographic clarity, crisp mechanical resolution, and beautifully preserved deep silver tones from the rain-shortened May 31, 1926 running. Frame 1 Includes: Earl Cooper: Posed in his revolutionary Front-Wheel Drive "Miller Special" (The 1926 Pole Sitter). Harry Hartz: Posed in his iconic #3 "Miller Special" (2nd Place Finisher). Frame 2 Includes: 3. Cliff Woodbury: Posed in his #36 "Boyle Valve Special" (3rd Place Finisher / Rookie Year). 4. Fred Comer: Posed in his sleek "Miller Special" (4th Place Finisher). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The real photo postcard stock is remarkably clean, showing razor-sharp vehicle details, tire tread texturing, and cockpit elements. Neatly preserved under protective glass within two identical, sturdy black wooden frames featuring clean dual-layer mat borders. No sun bleaching or fading to the silver gelatin tones. Glass is clear and structural frame joints are tight—ready to display immediately.
