eBay is acquiring Depop (February 2026)
eBay announced on February 18, 2026 that it will acquire Depop from Etsy for approximately $1.2 billion. The deal is expected to close in Q2 2026. Depop's name, brand, and platform will remain intact, but the fee structure could change once the acquisition completes. We'll keep this calculator up to date as any changes are announced.
For years, Depop charged sellers a flat 10% commission on every sale. In 2024, that changed. Depop eliminated the seller commission entirely in the US, shifting to a buyer-side fee model instead. If you've been selling on Depop for a while and your numbers look better than they used to, that's why. Many sellers are still searching for information based on the old structure. This calculator reflects what you actually pay today.
US sellers now pay a single fee per transaction: 3.3% + $0.45. This applies to the total order value, meaning the item price plus whatever the buyer pays for shipping. If you sell an item for $30 with $6 shipping, the processing fee is 3.3% of $36 plus $0.45, coming to about $1.64.
There's no listing fee, no monthly fee, and no other platform cut. That's the whole fee.
The fee removal applies to US sellers. If you're selling from the UK, Australia, or other markets, the 10% seller commission may still apply in addition to payment processing fees. Toggle "Selling outside the US" in the calculator above to see how that changes your take-home.
Depop offers a Boost feature that promotes your listings to more buyers. Unlike a flat ad spend, the boost fee is only charged when your item actually sells through the boost: 8% of the sale price for US sellers. If your item sells organically, no boost fee is charged. Check the toggle above if you plan to use it.
Depop's fee structure varies by where you sell. US and UK sellers no longer pay a seller commission. Sellers in other countries may still owe the 10% commission on top of payment processing fees.
| Fee | US | Outside the US |
|---|---|---|
