List, sell and lastly, get paid with Poshmark.

Planning to sell on Poshmark? It’s always a good idea to cover all the bases, especially when it comes to getting paid.

As a platform which sold 350M+ items and 130,000 community members, there’s no doubt that Poshmark is legit. You’ll get paid for selling items here. But the due diligence of setting up your account for payments falls to you.

Don’t worry; we’re here to guide you on how to get paid on Poshmark. We’ve also thrown in a few tips to help you avoid possible payment issues and just keep reselling.

Before you start—what to know

  • Your earnings from your sales will go to your Poshmark Balance.
  • When you make a sale, Poshmark automatically deducts the flat commission of $2.95 for items below $15 or the 20% commission for items priced $15 or higher.
  • Shipping discounts get deducted from your net earnings.

Assuming you already have an account, have your listings set up, and you’ve started receiving offers, here’s how to get paid.

Step 1. Manage your offers

Sometimes your listing sells for the asking price you’ve set, and that’s great. But there will be days when all you get are offers. You can either accept, counter, or decline these offers. Note that offers last only for 24 hours before they expire.

A tip: When pricing an item, always have a baseline for the lowest price you are willing to accept. This price should be enough to cover the cost of your item plus some profit.

Step 2. Wait for completed sales.

After you’ve dealt with the offers, it’s time to put your feet up and wait for your sales. Once your buyer receives the item, they have three days to accept it, return it, or file for a refund dispute. No action on their part within that period automatically completes the sale. Your earnings will immediately go to your Poshmark Balance.

Step 3. Get paid

You can do this through Poshmark.com or via the app.

Via the website, go to your profile on the upper-right side of the screen, and choose Order Activity from the dropdown menu. Then go to My Balance at the left side of the screen. Click on Redeemable and choose between Instant Transfer, Bank Direct Deposit, PayPal, Venmo or Check Deposit.

When withdrawing through the app, go to your profile at the bottom right of the screen, then go to My Balance, tap Redeemable and choose among the five options as mentioned above.

Note: When choosing bank direct deposit, PayPal or Venmo, you’ll be asked to input your details once. Poshmark saves this information so you wouldn't have to enter them every time you want to withdraw your earnings.

Step 4. Wait for your funds to arrive.

Some payment methods let you receive funds faster; some take longer. Among the five methods we mentioned, Instant Transfer is the fastest, but it comes with a $2 fee. A direct deposit to your bank takes 1-3 business days, with no fee. Sending your balance to your Venmo or PayPal account takes up to 30 minutes, both with a $0.35 fee. Check payment takes the longest time (two weeks) but with no fee at all.

Q: I see Credit in the My Balance tab. What is it and how do I use it?

A: Posh Credit (or simply Credit) is Poshmark’s exclusive balance meant to purchase items within the platform. It is earned as a reward for doing certain tasks (for example, inviting new users to sign up using your referral code).  Posh Credit cannot be redeemed.

Q: Why is my money still in the Pending Balance?

A: It's because of several things, including, but not limited to, the following: the item is still in transit, the buyer has not accepted the order yet, or the buyer wants to return the item or ask for a refund.

Q:  Is the amount I see on the Pending Balance the same amount I can withdraw when it moves to the Redeemable Balance?

A: Yes. Poshmark has already taken out the commission, so what is pending will be what you will receive once you withdraw it (sans bank/Paypal/Venmo fees, if applicable).
